At least four persons were reported killed and six injured in a collision between a train and a van at an unmanned level crossing between Mundiampet and Vikravandi in Villupuram district of Tamil Nadu on Wednesday.

The victims, all passengers of the van, were returning from the hill shrine of Sabarimala in Kerala, railway sources said.
The van was crossing the tracks when the Ananathapuri Express rammed into it.
On Tuesday, 38 people were killed when two passenger trains collided in Hoshiarpur district of Punjab.
