Name:Ramanathan
Message:She is one of the greatest of musicians that India has produced so far. She is the one to be called as `Nightingale of India' which, unfortunately, has not been so far (atleast officiallt). To me, her alapanai of Simmendra Madyamam (Song - Raama Raama) is just outstanding. Though she moved to bhakthi rasa and sang more of bhajan songs of late (which perhaps is not of real carnatic nature), she has proved to be a great carnatic exponent. Though people will remember her Voice for ever (which is not that important for classical music), I prefer to see her as a great contributor and flag-bearer of Carnatic music who helped in spreading it to the whole world. May this country remember her and her contributions forever and not just on her day of demise. May her soul rest in peace.

Name:Pradeep Reddy
Message:Her talent was only excelled by her Bhakti and selflessness. She has shown to the world that only through selflessness and devotion will the pinnacle of human acheivement be reached.
