President A P J Abdul Kalam [ Images ] sent her a bouquet wishing her many happy returns of the day.

United Progressive Alliance [ Images ] leaders Lalu Prasad, Ram Vilas Paswan, K Chandrasekhar Rao, Praful Patel [ Images ], T R Baalu, Dayanidhi Maran [ Images ] and Sitaram Yechuri also greeted her in person.

Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam [ Images ] president M Karunanidhi [ Images ] telephoned her from Chennai to extend his greetings.

Many Congress workers danced outside 10, Janpath. There were also celebrations by Congressmen in various states.
