Two militants, who had stormed a security camp killing five Central Reserve Police Force personnel, were shot dead on Saturday by security forces, ending a 30-hour gun battle at Sopore, 55 km from Srinagar.
"Security forces have neutralised both the militants who were holed up in the camp in a fresh offensive launched this morning after the overnight halt in the operations," a CRPF spokesman said.
