There is no respite for former coal minister Shibu Soren as a court in Giridih rejected his bail plea on Friday, while a Jamtara court posted August 18 as his next date for appearance.
First Additional Session Judge in Giridih Manoranjan Kavi, who reserved his orders in the morning, rejected the bail application and directed Soren be kept in the judicial custody till disposal of the 1974 Kudko murder case.
Soren yesterday had appeared before the Giridih court and moved the bail petition.
Counsel Prakash Sahai said he would move the high court for his client's bail.
