The Madras high court on Friday ordered retrial of the Dharmapuri bus burning case in which three women college students were burnt alive in the violence following the conviction of Chief Minister Jayalalithaa in the Pleasant Stay Hotel case in February 2000.
The students belonged to the Tamil Nadu Agricultural University, Coimbatore.
Justice V Kanakaraj delivered the verdict on a petition filed by the father of one of victims. The First Additional Sessions Judge, Salem, was ordered to take up the case.
