Security forces on Tuesday busted several terrorist hideouts in Jammu and Kashmir.
Police and Border Security Force personnel raided two hideouts in Gogwara-Nowhatta, Srinagar, and recovered two carbines, a sten gun, 47 grenades, four wireless sets, eight 60mm mortar shells, a camouflage dress, a drilling machine and a huge quantity of explosives, a BSF spokesperson said.
He said the hideouts were in the house of Mohammad Amiwani, a resident of Gojwara near the historic Jama Masjid in downtown Srinagar.
Meanwhile, a defence spokesman said troops unearthed two hideouts in Machil and Murdari Gali in Kupwara district and recovered 10kg of explosives, two bombs, two magazines, 157 rounds of rifle ammunition, two hand grenades, among other things.
According to official sources, a report from Jammu said the army busted three hideouts in Doda, Poonch and Rajouri hills in the state and seized, among other things, 33 grenades, 17 explosive devices and 72 detonators.
