Sources said the meetings were a 'follow-up' on the one Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister Chhagan Bhujbal had with Deputy Prime Minister Lal Kishenchand Advani on Sunday and added that various threat perceptions were discussed.
Sharma held a few rounds of discussions with the home ninistry officials, including those from the Intelligence Bureau.
The intelligence reports had also indicated that those responsible for the August 25 twin blasts in Mumbai were operating from Pakistan and Dubai.
The meetings assume significance in the wake of Bhujbal's remarks that intelligence agencies had warned of possible terrorist strikes in Mumbai or elsewhere in the country on September 11, coinciding with the anniversary of the attack on World Trade Center in the United States.
