Sayyed Mohammed Hanif Abdul Rahim, the alleged mastermind behind the August 25 twin explosions in Mumbai, was on Tuesday remanded to police custody till September 15 by a Prevention of Terrorist Act court.
He was arrested on Monday, but could not be produced in the court along with three other accused, as he had to be hospitalised for a day following blood pressure problem.

Rahim, suspected to have links with the Lashkar-e-Tayiba, was produced in a burkha amidst tight security before Judge A P Bhangale.
He told the court that he was 40 years old and that he had no complaints against the police.
Rahim was booked under sections 3, 4 and 5 of POTA, which deal with commission of terrorist acts, possession of explosives and enhanced punishment respectively. He also faces charges under various sections of the Indian Penal Code.
He is also booked under section 3 of the Explosive Substances Act, section 5 read with 9 (b) of Explosives Act and section 3 of Damage to Properties Act.
The maximum punishment under these acts is death, prosecutor Rohini Salian said.
In another development, the POTA court ordered police to produce co-accused Farheen Sayyed, daughter of Rahim, before a juvenile court, as she was a minor.
The court had on Tuesday remanded Farheen, her mother Fahmida and one Arshad Shafiq Ahmed Ansari to police custody till September 15 after they were arrested under POTA.
