16 injured in grenade attack on SOG camp

Sixteen people, including two police personnel, were injured when militants attacked a Special Operations Group camp with a grenade at Shopian in Pulwama district on Friday evening, official sources said.

The camp is located at Gagran village.

In other incidents, two top militants of Lashkar-e-Tayiba and Hizbul Mujahideen were among four militants shot dead by army and SOG in an encounter in Poonch district on Friday morning.

The encounter broke out during a joint operation in Mohra Bachie area of Surankote tehsil.

Militants also killed a civilian, Mohammad Bashir, in Marote-Hari area of Surankote tehsil.
