Hundreds of karsevaks have slipped into Ayodhya for the Vishwa Hindu Parishad's 'Sankalp Sabha' on Friday.
On Thursday evening, in a last minute bid to avoid a showdown, Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Mulayam Singh Yadav offered to allow regulated darshan and prayers at the disputed site in the temple town.
The karsevaks marched to Ayodhya from Faizabad this morning through the railway track despite tight security.

Security forces had to use mild force to disperse a stray crowd of karsevaks at Ayodhya railway station this morning. Police sources refused to confirm the incident.
The karsevaks also damaged a government bus near Sant Dhaman Kund and squatted on the street after the police arrested some activists from Maharashtra.
There are reports that hundreds of activists had blocked the railway track near Acharya Narendra Dev Nagar railway station between Ayodhya and Faizabad.
