FDA to prosecute Cadbury for insect infestations

A lab report on "insect infestations" in a Cadbury chocolate bar has come out positive, the Maharashtra [ Images ] Food and Drugs Administration said on Monday

The report was positive for the presence of two dead and one live insect, FDA Commissioner Uttam Khobargade said in Mumbai [ Images ].

"We will prosecute the chocolate manufacturing company, Cadbury India [ Images ] Ltd," he said.

On October 3, the MFDA had ordered seizure of all Cadbury Dairy Milk chocolates from the multinational giant's factory at Talegaon near Pune after the detection of worms in a chocolate bar.
