The Central Bureau of Investigation on Friday questioned employees of the Institute of Banking Personnel Services, a semi-government organisation in Mumbai, which printed the leaked Combined Admission Test question paper.

The CBI has given a clean chit to the Indian Institute of Management --  Ahmedabad, which conducts CAT for all six IIMs and a few others management schools, but has hinted that the paper may have leaked from IBPS.

CAT was cancelled after the paper leaked on November 23. A retest is now scheduled for February 15, 2004.

Several arrests have been made so far in the case. The main accused, Ranjit Don, is also in CBI custody.

Sources in the CBI said the interrogation of those arrested has indicated that the leak took place at IBPS.

IBPS has denied any involvement in the leak.

The CBI is also likely to question some IIM-A officials also.

Another CBI team has left for Patna with Ranjit Singh.
