Taking the same route he followed during the October 4 run-off, which Jindal won, he will travel through eight cities in 15 hours.

Before beginning his yatra, Jindal said in a statement: "Our politicians often disappoint us but our people never do. They work hard. This campaign is their campaign. The movement for change has always been about them, not about me. That is why we are finishing the campaign with the spotlight on them, the working men and women of our state who want change.'

Jindal is in a tight race against his Democratic rival, Lieutentant Governor Kathleen Blanco, who was campaigning on Thursday in New Orleans.
