An army havaldar opened fire on his colleagues, killing two and injuring one of them following an altercation while playing cards at their unit in Mendhar area of Jammu's Poonch district, official sources said in Jammu on Saturday.
Four army personnel of the 132 Field Regiment were playing cards in their unit in Mendha area in Poonch on Thursday evening when an altercation issued, the sources said adding Havaldar Subhash Pandey whipped out his service weapon and opened fire,
killing Havaldar B N Bral and Naik B E Dogra on the spot and injuring Naik Rattan Singh.
The army authorities have taken Pandey into custody while the injured has been admitted injured to hospital.
