The police on Wednesday arrested two more persons under the Prevention of Terrorism Act for their alleged role in the August 25 Gateway of India bomb blast and produced them before a special court in Mumbai, which remanded them to police custody till November 19.
Hassan Batterywalla and Rizwan Ladduwala were picked up by investigating officer Suresh Wallishetty from suburban Ghatkopar.
Rizwan informed the court that he, along with Hassan, was detained by the police station five days ago and interrogated. Later, they were let off. He said there was no need to detain them as they would cooperate with the investigation.
Seeking custody, Public Prosecutor Ujjwal Nikam told the court that they had links with co-accused Nasir, who was killed in a police encounter.
