Pakistan has nominated its high commissioner to India and handed over the 'agrema' papers to the Indian government on Monday night for approval, Pakistan daily The News reported on Tuesday.
The report, however, did not name the high commissioner, but hinted the nominee could be Aziz Ahmed Khan, who is currently the spokesman of the foreign office.
Earlier, Prime Minister Mir Zafarullah Khan Jamali had named Pakistan's ambassador to China, Riaz Mohammad Khan, as the high commissioner to India.
The foreign office, however, issued a statement later saying the decision to appoint Khan was not final.
