Vishwa Hindu Parishad vice-president Giriraj Kishore has condemned the arrest of its leader Dharmendra in Madhya Pradesh.
Dharmendra was arrested at the Ujjain railway station on Sunday night on charges of instigating religious sentiments. A special police team arrested him while he was onboard a Jaipur-Chennai train.
In a statement in Delhi on Sunday night, Kishore said the arrest was in violation of the fundamental right to speech and expression.
He accused the Madhya Pradesh government of stifling the people's voice.
