Maharashtra Chief Minister Sushilkumar Shinde has summoned senior police and state administration officials to his residence to discuss Thursday's train blast in Mulund that left 11 dead and several injured.
The meeting, scheduled for late afternoon, will also be attended by senior armed forces officers.
Earlier, Shinde visited the site of the blast and said there were "similarities between this blast and the one that took place in Ghatkopar on December 2."
According to preliminary reports, ammonium nitrate might have been used in Thursday's blast.
Refusing to name any particular terrorist group as suspect, the chief minister said: "We have got definite leads and the investigations are in progress."
Shinde has called off his tour of Nashik scheduled for Friday.
