Kanchi shankaracharya Jayendra Saraswati on Wednesday said efforts were on to resolve the Ayodhya imbroglio, including finding a solution to some of the questions raised by the Muslim community.
"We are making efforts. During the talks, two-three questions had arisen, including opening Archaeological Survey of India-protected mosques for prayers. It could be resolved through talks," the seer told reporters in Jaipur [ Images ].
The pontiff's fresh peace initiative has been rejected by both the Vishwa Hindu Parishad and the All India [ Images ] Muslim Personal Law Board while the Centre has termed it as a 'personal initiative'.
