Kanchi shankaracharya Jayendra Saraswati on Wednesday said efforts were on to resolve the Ayodhya imbroglio, including finding a solution to some of the questions raised by the Muslim community.
"We are making efforts. During the talks, two-three questions had arisen, including opening Archaeological Survey of India-protected mosques for prayers. It could be resolved through talks," the seer told reporters in Jaipur.
The pontiff's fresh peace initiative has been rejected by both the Vishwa Hindu Parishad and the All India Muslim Personal Law Board while the Centre has termed it as a 'personal initiative'.
