The government's interlocutor on Jammu and Kashmir, N N Vohra, has said he is not discouraged by media reports that the All Party Hurriyat Conference is unwilling to meet him.
"I am quite certain that everybody who has to be met will be met, including the Hurriyat. Why not? If they have to be heard, they would be heard," he said in New Delhi on Wednesday.
He was talking to reporters after briefing Deputy Prime Minister Lal Kishenchand Advani on his five-day tour of Jammu.
"Well, let us see, if that is their (Hurriyat's) final view (on not meeting him), we would see when we come to that. It is an ongoing activity and progressing; it is a dialogue and not mathematics," Vohra said when asked whether anything positive had emerged from his talks with various representatives of the Kashmiri society.
"We are meeting people; we are hearing people; we are getting various kinds of views, suggestions, recommendations. They have to be synthesised. Now I have to visit the third part (Ladakh)," he said.
