The Indian Railways has plans to replace the existing rakes of all Rajdhani Express trains with state-of-the-art luxurious coaches.
In due course, all trains would have these coaches.
These new coaches are being built at the Rail Coach Factory in Kapurthala under a technology transfer agreement with Alstom-LHB of Germany, an official release in Delhi said on Tuesday.
These coaches would be fire retardant, spacious and light weight with capacity for high speed, it said quoting Railway Board members.
These coaches will be first introduced in the Mumbai-New Delhi Rajdhani Express in August, it added.
