The Sushilkumar Shinde-led Democratic Front government in Maharashtra on Wednesday won the vote of confidence by a voice vote in the state assembly.
When senior Congress leader Rohidas Patil moved a one-line motion stating that the Maharashtra assembly expresses confidence in the Sushilkumar Shinde government, the opposition Shiv Sena-BJP did not seek a division of vote.
Speaker Arun Gujarathi then announced that the trust vote has been adopted by the lower house.
