Forensic experts have certified the Judeo tape as genuine, sources in the Central Bureau of Investigation said on Tuesday.
The tape, which shows the then Union Minister of State for Environment and Forests Dilip Singh Judeo accepting a bag full of currency notes from a man seeking mining rights, had created a political storm in the run up to the assembly election in Chhattisgarh and had led to Judeo's resignation.
The tape was sent for forensic tests at the Andhra Pradesh State Forensic Science Laboratory by the CBI.
"There is continuity in the tape and lip synchronisation [of all characters in the tape] is also perfect," the sources said quoting the report. However, they said, editing has been done to hide some faces.
The CBI had on December 21 registered a case against Judeo, his personal secretary Natwar Rateria, Bhupender Singh Patel (alias Rahul), who is seen in the tape handing over the cash to the minister, and Anand Vijay Mohan, who allegedly shot the video.
All four have been charged under various sections of the Prevention of Corruption Act.
