Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee on Friday cancelled his sojourn in Rajasthan due to foggy weather conditions in the north and to prepare for the South Asian Association for Regional Cooperation summit.
The entire issue relating to his holiday was reviewed this morning and a decision was taken to cancel the trip, sources at the Prime Minister's Office said.
Vajpayee was initially scheduled to leave for Jaipur on Thursday evening and return to Delhi on December 28.
But his entire programme got upset after the IAF Boeing 737 carrying him from Lucknow to Delhi was forced to land in Jaipur due to a thick blanket of fog engulfing the Delhi airport on December 24.
Vajpayee had to return to the capital from the Pink City after a nearly six-hour road journey for his birthday celebrations on December 25.
