Nationalist Congress Party chief Sharad Pawar defended Chhagan Bhujbal calling him a 'fighter' and a 'result-oriented' leader.
He said the former deputy chief minister was always 'targeted' by the opposition.
"Everybody knows that he (Bhujbal) is a fighter. It is not new... it is always that the result-oriented persons are targeted," Pawar said. "Even I was targeted by the opposition some years back when my name was linked with underworld don Dawood Ibrahim."

Asked what action will be initiated against Bhujbal if the SIT summons him, Pawar shot back. "If SIT calls him, it might be for some information."
Pawar said there was a difference between an investigating agency calling somebody to seek information and a person's name being in the list of accused.
