16 cops hurt in J&K attack

Sixteen policemen -- including Station House Officer of Kokernag police station, Ghulam Mohammed Parray, were injured when militants attacked Anantnag police chief A Q Manhas's office with a grenade.

Manhas was in the office when the blast occurred, but escaped unhurt.

Six policemen, who were in serious condition, were taken to Srinagar for treatment, sources said.
