The Pakistan-based Jaish-e-Mohammed on Saturday admitted that three of its activists had died in the gunfight that broke out with security forces in Noorbagh area of Srinagar.
But it contested the Border Security Force's claim that Ghazi Baba was one of them. "It is a bundle of lies," Jaish spokesman Abu Muslim told a local news agency, CNS.
"Baba was not involved in the encounter," Muslim said.
Saiful Islam, Abu Zaid and Abu Kasha attained "martyrdom" in the encounter while four other activists of the outfit managed to escape, he said.
