Kawnai in Igatpuri tehsil of Nashik district is getting ready for the Shahi Snan on August 25.
"Kawnai is believed to be the first place where Kumbh Mela was held since ages. After a dispute between various akhadas during the Peshwa regime, it was later shifted to Nashik and Trimbakeshwar in year 1700," said Mahant Phalhari Baba of Kapildhara Kawnai town.
The mahants and sadhus will take the Snan on the Parvani day at Kawnai.
