Defence Minister George Fernandes and officials of his delegation, who returned to New Delhi on Sunday night after a weeklong visit to China, were screened at the Indira Gandhi International Airport for Severe Acute Respiratory Syndrome.
The defence minister said he was also checked for SARS at Shanghai before leaving for India.
Asked about the SARS situation in China, Fernandes said it was not a matter of concern since he had returned 'unaffected' from there.
He dodged questions on the discussions he had had with Chinese leaders.
