Defence Minister George Fernandes [ Images ] and officials of his delegation, who returned to New Delhi [ Images ] on Sunday night after a weeklong visit to China, were screened at the Indira Gandhi [ Images ] International Airport for Severe Acute Respiratory Syndrome.

The defence minister said he was also checked for SARS at Shanghai before leaving for India [ Images ].

Asked about the SARS situation in China, Fernandes said it was not a matter of concern since he had returned 'unaffected' from there.
