Four Janashakti Naxalites
killed in encounter

Four Naxalites belonging to the Janashakti group were killed in an encounter with the police in Warangal district, while outlawed People's War extremists blasted a police station building in Anantapur district in the past 24 hours.

The encounter took place near Golabuddharam village under Bhoopalpally mandal in Warangal district on Sunday morning. A stengun, two 8-mm rifles, two double-barrel bore guns and nine kitbags were recovered from the slain Naxalites.

In the other incident, a group of 11 Naxalites of the outlawed People's War blew up a police station complex at Pothukunta in Anantapur district around 11.30 pm on Saturday.
