Blast in Kupwara, 3 killed

Three persons were killed and one seriously wounded in a bomb explosion at Gund Kralpora in Kupwara district of Kashmir on Tuesday morning.

The blast occurred in the house of a villager, Abdul Ahad, and those killed and injured were his sons, police sources said.

They were Mushtaq, Firdaus, Shabir [all killed] and Ashfaq [injured].

In a separate incident, militants on Monday night gunned down three members of a family in village Watterhal in Budgam district, a police officer said.

The militants forced their entry into one Abdul Khaliq Dar's house and opened fire. "Dar, his daughter and another woman died on the spot," he said.
