Three injured in Pakistani shelling

Three people were injured in mortar shelling by Pakistan along the Line of Control and International Border in Jammu division since Tuesday evening, official sources said on Wednesday.

The Pakistani troops targeted some forward posts and civilian areas in Noushera sector of Rajouri district with 82-mm mortars injuring a woman, they said.

Two persons, including a havaldar, were injured in shelling in Arnia sector and Kasian area, they said.

The Pakistani forces also fired around 15 mortar shells in R S Pura sector early on Wednesday forcing Indian troops to retaliate, they said, adding casualties on the other side were not known.
