Indo-US joint exercises to be held in Agra

Indian and US special forces will carry out joint exercises -- code-named Exercise Balance Iroquois -- in Agra from the second week of May.

The exercises will involve the Indian Army, para-commando units and special forces from the US Pacific Command, according to an army spokesman in New Delhi.

Transport aircraft of the Indian Air force and United States Air force will back the exercises, which will coincide with Indo-US mountain manoeuvres currently going on in Alaska.
