People's War Group blast TDP MLA's house

The outlawed People's War Group on Monday night blasted the house of Telugu Desam Party politburo member and Narsarampet legislator R Prakash Reddy at Kesavapur village about 45 km from Warangal district.

Police said the extremists swooped down on the house in Reddy's native Dukkonda mandal and evacuated his mother Vajramma and other servants before blasting it with dynamites.

The attack came in the midst of parleys between the state and PWG.

Creating a conducive atmosphere for talks by ending hostilities was one of the aspect on which the two parties had agreed.

The third round of talks is slated for June 20. During the first two rounds, the PWG nominees had protested against alleged fake encounters involving their cadre.
