A chartered plane carrying the NCP legislators landed in Indore's Devi Ahilyabai airport in the wee hours of Thursday, official sources said.
So far, five NCP MLAs have given letters (to the governor) withdrawing support to the DF government and the NCP is now left with only 56 MLAs.
The MLAs boarded the flight after attending a meeting presided by party president Sharad Pawar at Deputy Chief Minister Chhagan Bhujbal's official residence on Wednesday night.
Indore collector Mohammad Suleiman, city Congress president Ujagar Singh and Indore Development Authority (IDA) chairman Kripashankar Shukla received the MLAs at the airport, the sources said.
The group, including four ministers of state, were put up at Hotel President where a large number of security personnel have been deployed, they added.
