Andhra Pradesh extends ban on People's War

The Andhra Pradesh government has extended the ban on the People's War and its six frontal organisations for a period of one year with effect from July 23, 2002.

The notification issued in Hyderabad on Thursday night declared the PW as an unlawful association.

The government also banned the Radical Youth League, the Ryot Coolie Sangham, the Radical Students Union, the Singareni Karmika Samakhya, the Viplava Karmika Samakhya and the All India Revolutionary Students' Federation for the same period.
