Shabir Shah visits Qasim Nagar,
terms carnage 'inhuman'

Jammu and Kashmir Democratic Freedom Party chairman Shabir Ahmed Shah on Wednesday condemned the brutal massacre of 29 persons by militants on July 13 in Jammu and termed it as a 'most inhuman' act by people inimical to peace in the state.

He said killing of innocent women and children was 'unreligious' and those who had engineered this act committed a grave sin.

"By engineering such acts, some elements are creating hurdles in the way of peace," Shah told reporters after visiting the families of those killed in the massacre in Qasim Nagar locality.

He expressed his sympathies and asked the bereaved families to maintain communal harmony and brotherhood in the area.
