Suicide bombing near US consulate in Pak: Suspects confess

Two men arrested in connection with the June 14 suicide bombing outside the US consulate in Karachi, which resulted in the death of 12 persons, on Tuesday confessed to their involvement in the attack, police said.

Mohammad Imran and Mohammad Hanif Ayub, arrested last week, told a Karachi magistrate that they had planned and taken part in the execution of the attack, police sources said.

The duo are believed to have links to the Harkatul Mujahideen, a terrorist outfit, they said.
