Following the scare created by the bomb blast in Ghatkopar bus station on Monday, which claimed two lives, Mumbai on Tuesday witnessed many false calls.

The calls came from Nariman Point, Ghatkopar, Colaba and Dadar

Police sources said some people mistook a box in the Maker chambers basement at Nariman Point to be a bomb and sounded an alarm. A unit of the bomb disposal squad, which rushed to the site, found the box to be empty.

The police also got a call that a bomb each was planted in two buses at Ghatkopar. A search revealed two unclaimed bags full of clothes.

The police also got a call from Colaba about a suspicious object in a double decker bus. It again turned out to be a bag of clothes. A bag was also found lying near Ravindra Natya Mandir in Dadar, leading to panic. A search found the bag to contain old clothes.
