Mahajan cannot threaten me: Madhu Sharma

The wife of Indian Police Service officer Ravi Kant Sharma, Madhu Sharma, who accused Union minister Pramod Mahajan of being involved in the murder of journalist Shivani Bhatnagar, on Saturday said she would face the defamation case being planned by him.

"They cannot threaten me. I will face the case," Madhu said.

She said her outburst on Thursday against Mahajan was not a planned one. "It was an emotional burst."

Mahajan had called Shivani on the day of her murder. The two had a 45-minute talk, Madhu alleged.

She declined to say anything further.

Referring to a protest note by waiting newspersons after she met a journalist exclusively, Madhu said the reporter had met her to give a "tip" regarding the case.
