Militant outfit asks Amarnath pilgrims not to visit J&K

The Pro-Pakistan Jamiat-ul-Mujahideen militant outfit has asked people not to undertake the pilgrimage to the Amarnath cave shrine in Jammu and Kashmir because of the security situation in the state.

People should refrain from visiting the trouble-torn valley, the outfit said in a statement circulated to Srinagar newspapers on Wednesday evening, a day after the killing of nine Amarnath pilgrims by militants near Pahalgam.
