BJP takes tough stance against PDA MLAs

The Bharatiya Janata Party on Friday took a tough posture towards the Progressive Democratic Alliance MLAs, including, its own members in Manipur, with party president Jana Krishnamurthy refusing to meet them to discuss the situation arising out of the fall of Radhabinod Koijam ministry.

"I told them that it was not possible to discuss the issue with them before May 28 which is the date fixed for a meeting with leaders from the state," BJP general secretary Narendra Modi said.

The MLAs, who had virtually forced their way into the BJP central office in New Delhi, were refused appointment with Krishnamurthy.

However, Modi told them that he would meet one representative from each PDA constituent party.
