Pak national involved in Anantnag incident: Minister

Jammu and Kashmir Home Minister Ali Mohammad Sagar on Friday said a Pakistani national was involved in the Janglat Mandi incident in which five people, including Colonel J P Jaanu, commanding officer of a Territorial Army battalion, were killed on Thursday.

Replying to a question during zero hour in the legislative assembly, he said a Pakistani national Mohi-ud-din, in the guise of a beggar, opened fire on army officers and others at Janglat Mandi in Anantnag resulting in the killings.

Police were investigating the incident, he said.
