PM calls on President

Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee called on President K R Narayanan at the Rashtrapati Bhavan on Friday.

During the 45-minute meeting, he briefed the President on the forthcoming summit with President Pervez Musharraf of Pakistan, which is to begin on Sunday.

General Musharraf's state visit also figured at the meeting.

The president of Pakistan is reaching New Delhi on Saturday morning and will be accorded a ceremonial reception in the forecourt of Rashtrapati Bhavan.
