Naga organisations oppose ceasefire review

Naga organisations from Manipur, including the United Naga Council of Manipur and the All Naga Students' Association of Manipur, Thursday opposed the Centre's decision to review its June 14 ceasefire agreement with the National Socialist Council of Nagaland (I-M).

''The Centre's unilateral decision to backtrack from the Bangkok agreement would lead to violence and prove disastrous both for the Naga people and the country as a whole," a statement issued jointly by the Naga organisations said.
