Involve Kashmiris or talks will fail: Hurriyat

Ahead of the Agra summit, Hurriyat Conference on Tuesday said that Kashmir was a core issue between India and Pakistan and unless real representatives of Kashmiris were involved in the dialogue, the talks could not succeed.

The 23-party amalgam said that it considered the Kashmir problem as a core issue between the two countries.

It added that all other issues were of secondary importance.

The Hurriyat also called for a general strike on July 13, a day ahead of the Vajpayee-Musharraf summit as 'the goal set by martyrs has not been achieved as yet'.
