Curfew relaxed in Kishtwar town

Curfew was relaxed for two hours in Kishtwar town of Jammu & Kashmir on Thursday following an improvement in the situation.

According to official sources, the situation was normal and no untoward incident was reported during the relaxation period from 1200 to 1400 IST.

Indefinite curfew was imposed in Kishtwar town of Doda district on Tuesday when people had turned violent after the Jama Masjid there was gutted in a major fire the previous night.

The cause of the fire was yet to be ascertained, the sources said.

According to the sources, people got angry because of the fire brigade's delay in reaching the spot.
