3 Manipur ministers withdraw resignation

Three Manipur ministers, who had resigned from the Radhabinod Koijam coalition government on Sunday protesting non-inclusion of senior leaders of some constituents, on Monday retraced their steps following a meeting with the chief minister.

The resignation letters of Health Minister Nimaichand Luwang, Veterinary Minister M Manihar and Co-operation Minister Kh Amutombi Singh were withdrawn after differences with Koijam were 'patched up', Singh said.

Whilr resigning, the three ministers had said senior Nationalist Congress Party leader Chungkhokai Doungel and some Manipur State Congress Party MLAs were left out of the ministry, which was expanded on Feb 24.

The expansion, they had said, had set off resentment among some constituents of the ruling People's Front coalition.
