Pak diplomat held with RDX in Nepal

The Nepal police Thursday held a Pakistani diplomat and his wife, allegedly with 16 kg RDX in Kathmandu, news reports said.

Pakistan embassy's first secretary Mohammad Arshad and his wife's statements will be recorded , the authorities said.

Arshad may be declared persona non-grata and then expelled.

Arshad has claimed that ''it is the work of Indians, they are trying to frame me''.

Indian intelligence agencies claim that Nepal has often been used as a conduit by Pakistan's Inter-Services Intelligence, for smuggling explosives into India.
